CN SW1200RS

This is CN 1298 photographed in Edmonton 28 Feb 1997. CN 1298 was built in 1958 and was retired in 1996. However, it was un-retired and sent to Prince George to be used as a bad order car mover. It is shown in transit in Edmonton. Note that the exhausts have been capped for the trip. The round object on the left hand side of the cab to the right of the road number is a spot where the paint has peeled off and the raw metal underneath is exposed. Somewhat unusually, 1298 has black cab sides. Most other SW1200RS locomotives had red cab sides.
