HR616 were fitted with a fully cowled body and Draper Taper" cutout for improved visibility to the rear. They produced 3000 HP and were fitted with six-wheel trucks. They were geared for 75 miles per hour (121 kilometres per hour) but were generally restricted to 65 miles per hour (105 kilometres per hour).
M-420(W) were equipped with a standard wide-cab. They produced 2000 HP and were fitted with four-wheel trucks. They were geared for 75 miles per hour (121 kilometres per hour) but were generally restricted to 65 miles per hour (105 kilometres per hour).
M-636 produced 3000 HP and were fitted with six-wheel trucks. They were geared for 75 miles per hour (121 kilometres per hour).
The RSC-14 fleet was built from RS-18 locomotives. They were equipped with six-wheel A-1-A trucks (no traction motors on the centre axle). They produced 1400 HP and were geared for 75 miles per hour (121 kilometres per hour).
