Cylindrical hopper 371897 was constructed by NSC in Jan 1975. It has round roof hatches. The most interesting thing about it is its paint scheme. It is one of only a very few CN freight cars to receive the CNNA noodle with map scheme; others are CN 383381, CNIS 413028 and CN 557115.

This photo of 371897 was taken by Rich Stewart near Brockville ON in Sep 1996.

At first glance, this car looks like any other cylindrical hopper. However it has rounded ends that bulge out — it's more like a tank car. It has loading hatches on the top and round "teats" on the bottom for unloading (not too clear in this photo taken in Edmonton, September 1999). It apparently uses (air?) pressure for unloading.

This car was built by Procor in 1970.

The 377000-377999 series cars were built by Hawker Siddeley in 1970. They have round roof hatches and a capcity of 4350 cubic feet.

CN 377082 was photographed in Edmonton in fall 1997.
