NAR logo

In 1979, National Steel Car in Hamilton made 100 boxcars for the Northern Alberta Railway (NAR). These were for transporting lumber, and were designated for international service. These were taken over by CN in the purchase of NAR in 1981. These box cars are still seen around North America carrying their bronze-gold and blue paint scheme.
